Charlotte Bowers

After a childhood based around a love of sport I decided to follow my passion and become a PE teacher. I studied for a BA (Hons) in physical education at Leeds Metropolitan University and followed this with a PGCE in physical education and mathematics at Loughborough University where I continued to play hockey.

I moved to London to start my career and spent five years teaching physical education and mathematics in secondary schools. I also spent two of those years as head of year.

After a few years abroad broadening my experiences in different schools I then returned to England and taught in schools from reception to 6th form.

I am passionate about exercise and getting people involved whenever possible. I am still actively competing in running and triathlon events and coach hockey in my free time. I enjoy sailing and the outdoors and try to enthuse others as much as possible to keep active.
