PE Teacher / Experienced Primary PE & Sport Specialist

 

Part-time - 12 months fixed term position

Sprint PE and Sport are looking for a highly qualified and experienced P.E and School Sport specialist. The role will involve delivering high quality P.E and school sport activities, primarily across West Kent. The ideal candidate would be an innovative sport specialist with a drive to improve PE in our primary schools. You will need to be flexible and adaptable to suit schools requirements as well as having knowledge / training of safeguarding. First-aid would be beneficial although training can be provided.

Essential Qualifications: 

- NGB Level 2 qualifications or above

- Current DBS

- Safeguarding & Child Protection

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to suit the schools requirements

  • Knowledge/training of safeguarding

Essential Experience: 

- 1 Years or more experience in delivering PE/Sport within primary school environment

Essential Skills: 

- Ability to plan and deliver a physical education programme at KS1 and KS2.

- Ensure progress in physical education is being monitored.

- Assist in the delivery of sporting competitions, including officiating, scoring and preparation.

- Promote the benefits of being physically active.

- Be able to inspire and motivate young participants.

- Be able to monitor, enhance performance, encourage and provide constructive feedback.

- Hold excellent communication and teamwork skills which can be adapted to young people, teachers and parents.

- Possess a Full UK Driving licence & own transport.

Desirable Qualifications: (not essential)

- Level 3 in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education & School Sport.

- Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport.

- Paediatric First Aid Award / First Aid at Work.

- Degree in Sports Development / Coaching or similar.

- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

- Emergency First Aid at Work

- Safeguarding & Child Protection

QTS or Level 2 NGB qualification

Enhanced DBS

Two years or more experience delivering curriculum PE 

PE national curriculum knowledge

Understanding of the Primary PE and Sport Premium
