We have used staff employed by Sprint PE and Sport for the last year. We have always found them to be organised, knowledgeable and passionate about sport and providing sporting opportunities for youngsters. The quality of any professional development is very much dependent on the quality of the coach: this is something that has consistently impressed myself and the teaching staff at Fordcombe. With the continued tightening of school budgets, we have reviewed every aspect of our CPD provision for value for money and the impact on teachers and learners. The feedback from teachers from the Early Years right up to Year 6 has been very, very positive, with teachers asking when the next opportunity they will have to undertake training will be. The highlight for me last year was older pupils organising and leading three competitions for all of Key Stage 2, after having the rules and competition format of this modelled in lessons by teachers and coaches from Sprint: leadership, independence and a contribution to the whole school community through the physical education curriculum.

We at St James' have worked with Sam and Jo for many years and it feels as though they are part of our school. They have always been friendly and approachable and coped avidly with all the twists and turns of primary school life. Teachers here have all enjoyed working with the PE staff who work for them and many of us have benefited professionally from working with them.
